College View Elementary

School Description

College View Elementary was built in 1995 across the street from the original building. It is located in urban southwest Denver surrounded by residential dwellings, the neighborhood community center and other community organizations and businesses. A diverse, student population of 430 students with a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds exists at College View. College View’s “Caring Community of Learners” promotes a safe, caring and respectful learning environment. More than half of the students are from Spanish, Vietnamese and other language backgrounds. College View services students from ECE to Grade 5. Increased student achievement and meeting the needs of the diverse student population continue to be our main areas of addressing content area standards as outlined in our School Improvement Plan. College View’s committed professional learning community continues to focus on improved academic achievement for all students.
