Vision

The experience desired of the Barnum space will be sought using an ordering system based on the “three ring circus,” indicative of P.T. Barnum, the old neighborhoods famous resident entertainer. A circus can be defined as an “arena enclosed by tiers of seats and used for spectacles” or an activity of “showy public display.” A three ring circus hosts performances simultaneously in three separate rings.

Goals

The goal of the Learning Landscapes project at Barnum Elementary, in conjunction with the visions of the school body, is to:

  • Create a mentally and physically developmental play experience.
  • Provide a comfortable community gathering place.
  • Improve the quality of living for the Barnum community and neighborhood.
